A cinnamon roll also called cinnamon bun, cinnamon swirl, cinnamon danish, and the "kanel snegl" is a sweet roll served commonly in Northern Europe and North America. Its common use is for breakfast or dessert. The main ingredients are flour, cinnamon, sugar, and butter, which provide a robust and sweet flavor. In some places, it is eaten as a breakfast food and is often served with cream cheese or icing and a tea. Here is my quick and easy homemade (eggless) kanel snegl recipe,
Ingredients
- 2 cups Milk
- 25 g Yeast
- 180 g Butter
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 4 dl Cake Flour
Fillings
- 100g Butter
- 100 g Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Raisins
Glaze
- Powdered sugar
- Milk
Directions
Get a fresh yeast and mix the sugar with it. When the yeast is melted and has reacted to sugar, Add the warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Prepare the stand mixer and slowly add the flour. Turn the dough well until it is smooth and shiny. Then place a cloth on top of the dough, Ask it to rise in a warm place about 30-45 minutes.
In the meantime, Stir softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon well. Knead the dough through again. Roll and form a rectangular shape then spread all the filling. Add raisin evenly all over the dough. Roll them together lengthwise and cut it into small pieces. Put the rolls on a baking paper, let it rise for about 15 minutes. (Optional: Egg brush) Bake it for 25-30 mins at 180 C. Place it into a wire rack and let it cool. Lastly, Mix the powdered sugar and milk. Then pour it on top of the cinnamon rolls and then serve it with coffee or tea. Enjoy! :)

These days when we go to the supermarket, you'll see a lot of different kinds of brands and products in every kind of food. Since I was a first-time mom and I don't know anything about what is a good or bad meal for my baby. I had bought some of these products to feed my baby because I have no idea how to make it. I trusted the fact that in these commercial baby food, they have food vitamins needed for the baby but then again it is processed made. Since it was a trial and error, I had decided that it is better to make your own food to get the fresh and right amount of flavor and taste cooked it your own way with fresh vegetables and meat. And the most important, your baby will get used to, loved your homemade dish than liking a ready-made food. This will help you to save up!
When my sweet little baby boy turns 5months old, We started feeding him food little by little. It takes a week when my mother-in-law told me that homemade food is better and healthier than a ready-made food. Therefore, she taught me the basic steps on how to make it. Now here I am, discovering and making my own recipes for my little boy and I would love to share one of my recipes with you.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast
- potatoes
- rice
- butter
- broccoli
Directions
Bring to boil the broccoli, potatoes, rice, and chicken breast. After 20 minutes, put the butter when meat and vegetables are soft. Then, using a stick mixer (or any kind of mixer) blend everything until it becomes a puree. Pour it on a small bowl and let it sit until it is not hot, then serve!
place some of the excesses in a small box and freeze
If you can see the recipe above, it will have a lot of excess food. No worries, everything will not go to waste! Simply place everything in a small box and fill it per serving. Then put it on the freezer, reheat it in the microwave and you will have a portion of food for the entire week. Enjoy!
